Line Edit

Line editing is done at the sentence level. It is concerned with style; fine-tuning sentences without altering author voice; focusing on clarity, fluidity, content, author style, and language use; and looking closely at word choice/phrasing, rhythm, and syntax. Line editing can also address consistency in characters' voices, repetition, show vs tell difficulties, and consistency of tense.

NOTE: Any problems with plot, structure, point of view, pacing, et al. (in other words, developmental issues) should be addressed prior to a significant line edit.
